Loaned Executive

Title: Loaned Executive
Division: Resource Development
Reports To: Manager, Donor Relations - Group

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Loaned Executives are an essential link in a successful United Way Campaign. Loaned Executives assist campaign staff to develop, manage and grow a portfolio of accounts supporting the United Way of Central Indiana by maintaining and continuously developing relationships with key constituents at various levels within the assigned accounts. Loaned Executives must be able to identify opportunities for additional involvement with UWCI through either financial or volunteer involvement. Loaned Executives work closely with these constituents to plan, organize and implement campaign and other United Way activities to ensure a successful, strong and sustained United Way commitment. The Loaned Executive will also identify, recruit and develop new business prospects to ensure continued campaign growth.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Loaned Executive must have demonstrated effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Proven successful experience in customer service management is critical. Must be computer proficient, have an aptitude for math and be detail-oriented. An understanding of and the need for commitment to community improvement is a must. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Manager, Donor Relations Group:

  • Attend all associated trainings and meetings.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to assigned companies.
  • Identify and call on new businesses.
  • Make effective presentations to employee groups emphasizing the impact of United Way in the community.
  • Achieve goals for assigned accounts.
  • Keep manager informed of progress and report any problems that may arise.
  • Manage special assignments as needed.
  • Be a raving fan for United Way.
  • Identify opportunities for additional involvement with UWCI. Work closely with these constituents to plan, organize and implement campaign and other United Way activities to ensure a successful and continued United Way commitment.
  • Effectively convey UWCI’s mission and benefits to the general public, businesses and community leaders.
  • Promote a cooperative spirit within the organization and among internal and external United Way participants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
