Day of Caring |
Join us for the 19th Annual Day of Caring - one powerful way to volunteer and a great way to LIVE UNITED!Day of Caring is United Way of Central Indiana's signature event, allowing volunteers to give back to the community through hands-on volunteering throughout Central Indiana. Day of Caring also offers you an opportunity to join forces with other volunteers to see how United Way, its partners, and YOU can work together to address today's needs and reduce tomorrow's here in Central Indiana. The 19th Annual Day of Caring will take place on August 27 and 28, 2010. Go here to search and register for a volunteer opportunity!
Examples of 2009 Day of Caring projects: BSA Lifestructures turned an overgrown outdoor area at IPS #91 into an outdoor learning area.
Roche Diagnostics and Lowe’s of Central Indiana (Glendale Town Center) teamed up to transform the playground at IPS #56.
IPL transformed a house owed by HVAF (an organization that serves homeless veterans and their families). |
