22 Local Volunteers Graduate from United Way’s Executive Women’s Leadership Program

Comprehensive series prepares women community leaders

Twenty-two local community leaders have graduated from United Way of Central Indiana’s (UWCI) 2012-2013 Executive Women’s Leadership Program, part of Leadership United, a comprehensive leadership and board development program.

The Executive Women’s Leadership Program series is committed to developing the leadership skills of women serving the nonprofit community. The curriculum provides in-depth study of female leadership in the areas of volunteerism and philanthropy. Tamara Zahn, former president of Indianapolis Downtown Inc., moderated the series.

The next Executive Women’s Leadership Program begins in September and will be moderated by Rosemary Dorsa. Dorsa has spent her career in the philanthropic sector. She is currently vice president of the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance and director of the Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) Technical Assistance Program.
