Indiana Youth Group (IYG)

IYG strives to provide safe places and confidential environments where self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth are empowered.

Education | Positive Youth Development

IYG achieves that through programs, support services, social and leadership opportunities and community service. They advocate on behalf of LGBTQ in schools, in the community, and through family support services.

Empowering LGBTQ through Programs and Services

IYG has four interconnected programs for youth, in addition to a community education and advocacy program.

Youth programs include:

  • Education and Career Development
  • Character and Leadership Development
  • Personal and Social Development
  • Information and Referral

Education Outreach Program:

  • Supports Gay Straight Alliances in high schools across Indiana
  • Provides capacity building for communities wishing to start an LGBTQ youth service
  • Promotes community education by providing trainings and workshops to schools, social service professionals, colleges and community groups.
