The Arc of Greater Boone County

The Arc of Greater Boone County is made up of six separate but intertwined divisions, each offering a specific service to assist people with special needs in achieving their maximum potential in life.

Financial Stability | Health

Starting in the 1950s, a group of Boone County residents came together with the purpose of providing local opportunities for people with disabilities. The organization was incorporated in 1970, and with local support it continues to make progress toward its mission.

Through these efforts, people with disabilities are given a better opportunity to be contributing members in their own community.

Creating Independence through Services

The Arc of Greater Boone County assists people with disabilities and others in need to maximize their independence through:

  • Employment opportunities
  • Daily living skills training for adults
  • Food supplement and nutrition education for women, infants and children.
