Apply now for On My Way Pre-K

Starting today, eligible families in the 20 On My Way Pre-K counties can apply for a 2018-2019 pre-K grant by visiting www.OnMyWayPreK.org. To be eligible:

  • Families must earn less than 127 percent of the federal poverty level.
  • The child must be 4 years old by August 1, 2018, and starting kindergarten in the 2019/2020 school year.
  • Families must be living in one of the 20 pilot counties: Allen, Bartholomew, DeKalb, Delaware, Elkhart, Floyd, Grant, Harrison, Howard, Jackson, Kosciusko, Lake, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, St. Joseph, Tippecanoe, Vanderburgh and Vigo counties.
  • Parents/guardians in the household must be working, going to school or attending job training.

 Once enrolled, families may choose from any of the eligible On My Way Pre-K programs in their county. Families can search approved providers at www.ChildCareFinder.IN.gov or call 1-800-299-1627 for assistance from an early learning referral specialist. United Way of Central Indiana remains committed to growing the number of low-income children served by Indiana’s On My Way Pre-K and Indy Preschool Scholarship programs. This marks the full implementation of the second stage of Indiana’s public-funded pre-K program. More than 5,000 Hoosier children have attended preschool through a grant from the On My Way Pre-K program since it began in 2015.
