Carmel Teacher Donates to United Way and Wins Trip to the Super Bowl

Indianapolis Colts offer prize package to increase donations during United Way’s centennial year A teacher for 24 years, Stephanie Borlik understands how important it is for children to receive a high-quality education. That’s just one of the many reasons she’s been a longtime supporter of United Way of Central Indiana. And while she knew her donation would be put to good use, she never thought it would give her the opportunity to check off a bucket list item – going to the Super Bowl. Thursday, January 11, 2018, “Mrs. Borlik” was working on third quarter goals with her second-grade students at Carmel Elementary School when the school’s principal dropped in with an important phone call from United Way’s president and CEO, Ann Murtlow. Much to Stephanie’s surprise, Ann was calling to share the good news that her name had been randomly selected and she was the winner of a trip to the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota! For the eighth year, the Indianapolis Colts have teamed up with United Way to offer a trip to the Super Bowl for one lucky donor. This year, in celebration of United Way’s 100th anniversary, anyone who made an undesignated donation of at least $10 between September 1 and November 30, 2017 was entered to win. Stephanie Borlik was randomly selected out of nearly 14,200 names. WATCH MRS. BORLIK RECEIVE THE GOOD NEWS!
