Indianapolis Colts donate $15,000 to support volunteer projects for United Way’s community-wide day of service

INDIANAPOLIS – United Way of Central Indiana announced today a donation from the Indianapolis Colts to underwrite the volunteer projects for its third annual Go All IN Day on June 23.

With the Colts’ $15,000 gift, United Way will be able to increase the pool of funding for participating organizations throughout Central Indiana. Right now, nonprofits, grassroots organizations and community groups interested in hosting a volunteer project can apply for a grant at goallinday.com.

“We are always honored and humbled to be able to support United Way and many other organizations as they join together, volunteer and take action to better the Central Indiana community,” said Ashley Powell, Colts Director of Community Relations.

More than 1,000 volunteers participated in last year’s event, completing projects at more than 40 nonprofits across Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan and Putnam counties. United Way hopes to see the list of community projects grow with this additional support from the Colts.

“We are so grateful to the Colts for their support of United Way and for Go All IN Day,” said Peter Hanscom, chief brand officer for United Way. “The Colts’ support opens the door for more participation from community organizations and volunteers, which translates to even a greater impact across our entire community.”

Interested volunteers can learn more and sign up to reserve a spot at goallinday.com. A variety of indoor and outdoor projects – ranging in length from hour-long to all-day activities – will be available for individuals, groups and families.

Go All IN Day is sponsored by WRTV.
