Community Impact Award Winners

Each year, United Way of Central Indiana recognizes and celebrates corporate partners for going above and beyond in each of our four impact areas: education, financial stability, health and basic needs.

We’re proud to honor the following four companies who have taken that extra step to make a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Corteva Agriscience

Corteva Agriscience is driven by the purpose to enrich the lives of those who produce and consume agriculture around the world, which is why they’ve passionately played a huge role in helping food security organizations in Central Indiana prosper.  In 2019, more than 500 Corteva employees volunteered almost 2,000 hours to help these organizations within United Way’s network.  From delivering meals to seniors for Meals on Wheels to preparing food at Second Helpings, Corteva has made a big impact in securing food for those in need.  As part of their on-site garden, Corteva grew and donated more than 13,000 pounds of fresh produce to area food pantries and have built over 1,200 healthy snack kit builds to kick off their 2019 United Way corporate campaign.  Corteva and their employee volunteers are dedicated to working with farmers, local businesses, schools, governments and United Way to unlock solutions that will help feed the world and ensure sustainable food security.

This means supporting causes their employees care about – one being United Way of Central Indiana.  Through giving and volunteerism, Crowe has been able to strengthen the communities in which they do business.  During the firm’s 75th anniversary, their CEO challenged everyone to collectively volunteer a total of 75,000 hours. By the end of the year, Crowe LLP recorded more than 82,000 volunteer hours. Because of the success of the volunteer challenge, they were challenged to volunteer 100,000 hours by early 2020.  Crowe lives by four social responsibility pillars – all that align whole-heartedly with United Way: an engaged workforce, trust and transparency, environmental stewardship and strong communities. By succeeding in all four of these pillars, it’s clear that Crowe has gone above and beyond impacting Central Indiana.
