Exceptional Executive Award Winner: Mike Dilts

At Shiel Sexton, Mike Dilts is a huge champion and supporter of the United Way mission – which is why he has been named the recipient of United Way’s Exceptional Executive Award.  This award recognizes a premier executive who championed United Way engagement and giving.  During his time at Shiel Sexton, a committee called SSCares was created to develop volunteer and egagment opportunities throughout the year.  Each year, the company participates in a week-long event called, “Beyond the Build” where employees have the opportunity to give back to the community by rebuilding various neighborhoods. But right before the campaign, the country was facing the circumstances of a pandemic and an economic crisis.  This didn’t stop Mike or Shiel Sexton.  Mike ended up creating a video to support United Way of Central Indiana’s efforts and proceeded to run the campaign.  Despite the uncertain circumstances, Shiel Sexton not only reached their goal, but they exceeded it.  By supporting and encouraging his team to get engaged with United Way of Central Indiana, Mike helped Shiel Sexton make a huge impact in our community.  Congratulations to Mike and thank you for being a key to bringing our mission to life!
