Get Involved and Go All IN with Care Kits for Seniors

Help us make our goal of 700 bags into the hands of homebound seniors a reality.

Did you know 46% of seniors living in Central Indiana are in or are one emergency away from poverty?

Join us and help provide homebound seniors with resources they may not otherwise be able to afford. While food is covered through a supplemental nutrition assistance program (like food stamps), everyday items such as cleaning supplies, paper and hygiene products are not.

On United Way’s Go All IN day on September 9, we’re partnering with a handful of organizations through our seven-county region, including: CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions, Boone County Senior Services, Hendricks County Senior Services, and Meals on Wheels Hancock County - to create personalized Care Kits for Seniors.

The kits created on September 9 will be distributed in all seven counties we serve thanks to our community partners.

How Can You Help?

Host a donation drive: Click here to complete the interest form and a United Way staff member will get back to you to finalize the details.

Build your own kits: Purchase 8-12 items from the item list below, place them in a reusable bag and contact Jody Pope (jody.pope@uwci.org) for a time to deliver to United Way’s office.

Volunteer:  Help us sort and assemble the kits at one of our many locations throughout Central Indiana – Indianapolis, Greenfield or Lebanon.

Make a cash donation: Text GOALLIN to 41444 or purchase items directly from our Amazon wish list.
