Great Families 2020 grant deadline January 9
INDIANAPOLIS – United Way of Central Indiana announced today that the deadline for non-profit agencies and organizations to apply for Great Families 2020 – the five-year initiative to improve family stability – is 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9.
Great Families 2020, funded in part by a significant grant from the federal Social Innovation Fund (SIF) and matched by the community, will leverage more than $20 million for families in need in in four neighborhoods in Indianapolis where community-improvement initiatives are underway. Using the promising practice of the Two-Generation Approach, where the needs of parents and their children are addressed at the same time, Great Families 2020 will establish evidence-based, neighborhood support networks that provide integrated services in postsecondary education and workforce development, early childhood education, financial support, and health and well-being to families living in poverty.
