Peter Hanscom Joins United Way of Central Indiana as VP of Marketing

INDIANAPOLIS – United Way of Central Indiana has named Peter Hanscom the organization’s vice president of marketing. This role will be critical in the leadership and development of marketing and communication strategies, increasing regional presence and enhancing the overall brand of United Way. Hanscom joins United Way of Central Indiana with several years of experience in the political arena. As the current president of Left Done Right Consulting, LLC and former campaign manager for U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly, Hanscom has overseen various large-scale projects and budgets with progressive outcomes, including his role as initiative director for Indiana Competes, a business-led coalition partnered with the Indy Chamber that advocates for nondiscrimination protections for Hoosiers across the state. Chief Marketing, Communications and Community Relations Officer Greg Fennig looks forward to seeing how Hanscom’s diverse background will leverage United Way as both a nonprofit leader and community convener. “Peter brings an energy to United Way that will encourage others to do and achieve more together,” said Fennig. “As we continue to raise awareness about our Impact Funds to donors, partners, advocates, and volunteers, Peter will serve as an influential addition to the Marketing team that will translate into greater impact for central Indiana families across our six-county region.” Hanscom will work closely with Fennig to expand and strengthen the United Way legacy in the areas which it serves, including Morgan, Hamilton, Boone, Hendricks, Marion, and Hancock counties. “Serving others is something I believe very strongly in,” Hanscom said. “Joining United Way will not only give me a chance to work with a marketing team who has already made tremendous progress in this space but will also allow me to build on the organization’s tradition of impact.”
