United Way Promotes Tanya Hand to Senior Director of Major and Transformational Giving and Names Samuel Lewis Senior Sales Director
INDIANAPOLIS – United Way of Central Indiana has promoted Tanya Hand to senior director of major and transformational giving and has named Samuel Lewis senior sales director for the organization this week.
In her five years with United Way, Hand has served as Hamilton County director, area north director, and director of business development. Prior to joining United Way, Tanya oversaw operations and strategic implementation as the March of Dimes’ state director.
As senior director of major and transformational giving, Tanya will lead the major and transformational giving strategy for the organization, which includes Tocqueville and Meridian Society, Planned Giving, and Donor Engagement Networks (formerly known as Affinity Groups).
“I am thrilled to continue working for the betterment of Central Indiana and involving new and established donors throughout our six-county region,” said Hand. “Connecting people with the passions and causes they care about will continue generating impact at scale for more of our neighbors and families.”
Samuel Lewis, the organization’s newly named senior sales director, will work alongside Hand and play a crucial role in the advancement of United Way’s use and expansion of Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud (SPC). Lewis brings extensive experience to United Way as a former account executive for Salesforce, backed by several years leading inside sales and accounts at Gannett.
“Joining the United Way team to share the capabilities of best-in-class technology and the possibilities it can provide corporate and community partners was a no-brainer,” said Lewis. “I’m ready to join a team that’s committed to the future of philanthropy and I look forward to seeing the innovative ways in which we can generate greater impact through this work.”
Lewis is a graduate of Indiana State University and received a Bachelor of Science in marketing. He is also a member of the Alumni Advisory Board for the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Indiana State University.
