JoAnne Schneider identifies organizational social capital as established, trust-based networks among organizations or communities supporting a particular nonprofit. This includes key attributes nonprofit leaders can use to leverage social capital, which is often divided into clusters. The aim for social capital is to transform an organization’s ability to respond to its changing needs by enabling greater access to a variety of tools that facilitate the development of social capital. Participants will learn the key elements of social capital within their organization, as well as how to leverage the organization’s social capital.
