United Way Read Across America Celebration

Date and Time:March 6th - 11:00am-1:00pm

Library Branch: East 38th St.
Address: 5420 East 38th Street, Indianapolis

YOU GET A BOOK, YOU GET A BOOK, WE ALL GET BOOKS! United Way is celebrating Read Across America Day on March 6th.

In partnership with the Indianapolis Public Library, United Way would like to provide students and families access to books to help create or add to their at home libraries. Literacy is important. We know kids who read, and who are read to, do better in school. Let’s all celebrate and foster a love of reading together! Parents will also get connected to community resources.

Join United Way at the Indianapolis Public Library – East 38th St. Branch, for a curbside book distribution. Families are encouraged to stop by the event to pick up free books for PreK to 12th grade learners. Books in Spanish will be provided for those families who need them.

Masks are strongly encouraged.

We encourage readers, both young and old, to celebrate reading with us. Read Across America Day 2021 will be a blast! Join us as we support children’s literacy throughout Central Indiana.
