INDIANAPOLIS – United Way of Central Indiana, in partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, today announced the winner of its March to Miami Sweepstakes at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. Beverly Griner received two tickets to Super Bowl LIV, hotel, and airfare accommodations for the game in Miami on February 2.
The event included remarks from the Colts and United Way of Central Indiana, followed by an announcement of all 10 winners chosen throughout the regular season who donated $20 to United Way in support of the organization’s Basic Needs Fund.
“The Colts have partnered with us for events on the circle, the Hometown Huddle and donations from tickets at a home football game,” said Greg Fennig, chief marketing, communications, and community relations officer for United Way. “This special opportunity to send a lucky winner to the Super Bowl and welcome them into our network as a new donor will strengthen the impact we generate in our region.”
Beverly Griner and her husband, Scott, reside in Indianapolis, and this trip will mark their first ever Super Bowl experience.
“I’m thankful, blessed, and excited,” Griner shared following the announcement. “I was more than happy to donate to United Way and never dreamt this would happen.”
Ashley Powell, director of community relations for the Colts, expressed her gratitude for the United Way partnership.
“The Colts organization is so proud to support our community partners,” said Powell. “This was an exciting way to capture the scope of United Way’s work and the fanhood that surrounds the Colts and the National Football League.”
