Colts and Irsay Family pledge donation to United Way

Team commits to donate $1 for every ticket distributed for Sunday’s game

The Indianapolis Colts continued their longtime support of United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) on Sunday, September 25, as they pledged to donate $1 for every ticket distributed for the game. This is the eighth consecutive year the Irsay family has made this pledge at a Colts home game, with contributions totaling nearly $600,000 for United Way of Central Indiana. Sunday’s check presentation will took place on the field during halftime.

The ticket pledge is one of several ways the Indianapolis Colts are lending their support to United Way this year. Earlier this month, the organizations teamed up to host The Big Kickoff event, marking the start of the Colts regular season and United Way’s yearly community engagement.

The Colts are providing (2) Super Bowl LI tickets as a grand prize for individuals who donate a new gift of at least $150 to UWCI’s 2016 campaign or increase last year’s gift by at least $150. In addition, Colts Long Snapper Matt Overton is a member of United Way TEAM NFL, in partnership with NFL PLAY 60, to make the next generation of youth healthier and more active.

Next month, the Colts will team up with UWCI to host the annual Hometown Huddle event to renovate a fitness center at a local community center.
