Ashley Furois and Tanya Hand have been named United Way of Central Indiana’s newest Vice Presidents and members of its Operating Committee.

Furois, who has been with UWCI since 2012, most recently served as Senior Director of Fundraising. In her new role, she will have a significant span of responsibility for revenue generated primarily through workplace giving – the largest fundraising group at UWCI. Prior to UWCI, Furois was a Communications/Campaign Associate at the United Way West Lafayette Branch for six years.

Hand has been with UWCI since 2014, most recently serving as Director of Major and Transformational giving. In the past year of her leadership, major donor numbers increased and affinity groups have been revamped. Before joining UWCI, Hand oversaw operations and strategic implementation as the State Director for the March of Dimes.

Both Furois and Hand recently received their CFREs – the only nationally recognized certification for professional fundraisers and one that requires the demonstration of substantial proficiency in a multitude of disciplines within fundraising.

Furois holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and psychology from Purdue University and a master’s in Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly School of Philanthropy. Hand holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from the University of Alabama.
