When was the last time you got out to Go All IN?

By Aaron Gore, Director of Community Relations at United Way

As a single parent, one of my “Father Philosophies” for my daughters is that people will always know what is important to you by how you spend your free time (#truth). For me, volunteering as a reading tutor/mentor at an elementary school each week throughout the school year is one of the many ways I go Go All IN for my community.

It has been far too long since we had an opportunity to be among others who care so much about our community. But the time is now! United Way of Central Indiana invites everyone to get out to Go All IN on September 9, 2021, as we partner with community-based organizations across our seven-county service area to provide a day full of in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, and corporate partners.

For community organizations, why Go ALL IN with United Way?

  1. VISIBILITY INTO THE WORK – UWCI team will provide various supports to create awareness of this day, which offers greater exposure to the Central Indiana community of volunteers, donors, and advocates.

  2. GRANT OPPORTUNITY – If you are an organization with an operating budget of $1 million or less, you may apply for a grant up to $500 for your volunteer project. Click here to apply..

To make Go ALL IN successful, we need help from our community partners:

IDENTIFY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES – United Way needs to know what your volunteer opportunities are in our service area of Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan and Putnam counties. We will post the projects on VolunteerCentralIndiana.org.

All you need to do is register or log in at https://www.volunteercentralindiana.org/partnership/ to post your opportunities.

Need help? A United Way of Central Indiana team member will be happy to assist with registering your organization and creating the listing of the volunteer opportunities. Email volunteer@uwci.org

Go ALL IN is a win-win. Community organizations are rewarded by connecting with volunteers who are ready and able to help, and volunteers throughout Central Indiana feel the reward of giving back to communities they love. I know I plan to fulfill my “Father Philosophy” of spending time volunteering on September 9. That’s the #truth.
