Engaging the Media with the Nonprofit Learning Center

Your organization is doing great work, and you have exciting stories to share! There are many options when it comes to reaching your audience through media such as news, print, radio, digital and social platforms. Attend NLC's last session in the Sharing Your Story module to learn tips from a local communication expert that will help you get your story in front of the right audiences.

In this session, you'll hear from Ebony Chappel, Director of Programs & Communication for Leadership Indianapolis, a civic leadership nonprofit. Ebony is an award-winning multimedia journalist, business owner and certified community health worker. Her work has garnered recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, Hoosier State Press Association, National Newspaper Publishers Association and the Association for Multicultural Affairs in Transplantation, among other honors.

In addition, Ebony works as a freelance writer, broadcaster and content creator with several local media outlets including Indy Maven, Pattern Magazine, and Radio One Indianapolis. During the pandemic in 2020, she launched a podcast, What’s Good? with Ebony Chappel to shed light on people in the community that are doing good things.

We very much look forward to hearing from Ebony and seeing you there - virtually!
